Step 1: Conduct the Audit
Step 2: Preparing a PHI-redacted eTool for upload
Save an additional copy of the eTool, concatenating “redacted” or “No-PHI” or any identifier
On this redacted tool, In the Medical Record Reference Tab, click on the "-" to remove PHI from this copy of the tool.
Save the changes. This will be the copy of the eTool that gets uploaded to KSB
Step 3: Uploading the eTool
Upload the PHI-redacted copy of the eTool to KSB.
Step 4: Downloading JSON format data for MSRP upload (pending official schema from DHCS)
Locate the audit by audit id on the KSB system.
Access the audit on the Audit scoring page
Click on the “Create JSON File” button to download a copy of the audit data in MSRP’s JSON format. This will be downloaded to your computer. Important to note: This does not contain PHI.
Step 5: Combine the downloaded JSON file with PHI located on the local non-redacted copy of the eTool
Access the Medical Record Reference Tab on the original eTool, and click on "Complete MRR JSON File"
Locate and select the previously downloaded JSON file from KSB.
The PHI in the original eTool will now be added to the downloaded JSON file, creating a complete JSON file ready for upload into MSRP. Important to note: This file is not accessible by KSB.
